PASTA FATTA IN CASA

 

The following pasta dishes are made with our chef’s own homemade fresh pasta. 

Fresh pasta has a slightly different texture to dried pasta as it absorbs more of the sauce during cooking meaning it is softer and more flavoursome.

 

Parpadella con Funghi Porcini e Olio al Tartufo             £9.50

Ribbons of pasta with garlic, white wine, parsley & Porcini mushrooms, finished with

a touch of cream and drizzle of truffle oil.

 

Ravioli Ripieni di Zucca e Amaretti con Burro,

Salvia e Parmiggiano                                                            £9.50

Homemade ravioli with a roasted pumpkin & Amaretti filling, sautéed in a light butter,

sage & Parmesan sauce.

 

Strozzapreti alla Siciliana                                                     £9.50

This pasta originates from the Emilia Romagna region of Italy, each short twist of

pasta has to be individually hand rolled.  In this dish our homemade strozzapreti is

served with a traditional sauce from Sicily; aubergine, cherry tomatoes, garlic &

goat’s cheese.

 

Scialatiello alla Positanese                                                £10.50

Homemade strips of pasta originating from the Amalfi Coast created to enjoy with

the regions fantastic seafood. It is a slightly shorter and thicker type of tagliatelle,

here it is served with king prawns, calamari, mussels, clams & cherry tomatoes.

 

Gluten free Penne pasta available with any sauce above, with the exception of Ravioli.

 

 

CARNI

 

Lonza di Miale con salsa di Mela e Puree di Patate     £15.50

Roasted loin of pork with a refreshing apple sauce and creamy mashed potatoes.

 

Costolette di Agnello in Crosta di Erbe                           £17.50

Rack of lamb coated lightly in Dijon mustard then a mixed herb crust, oven roasted

and served with Caponata; (aubergines, tomatoes, red onion, garlic & basil sauté).

 

Bistecche

 

Bistecca alla Griglia                                                            £14.95

Plain grilled sirloin steak served topped with garlic & rosemary butter.

 

Bistecca al Rosmarino                                                        £15.50

Sirloin steak pan-fried in a garlic, rosemary & demi-glace sauce.

 

Bistecca ai Funghi                                                               £15.50

Pan-fried sirloin steak with a creamy mushroom & brandy sauce.

            

Filetti

 

The following steaks are served as whole pieces of fillet, however we recommend that

if you would like your fillet steak medium/well or well done, that it is served in medallions. 

This not only means that we can serve your food faster, but also helps to protect the meat

from becoming dry, as it means it doesn’t need to be cooked for so long. 

  

Filetto al Pepe Verde                                                           £17.50

Fillet steak cooked with green peppercorns, mustard, brandy, red wine, demi-glace

& cream.

 

Filetto di Manzo al Gorgonzola e Noci                            £17.95

Fillet steak pan-fried with a creamy gorgonzola cheese and chopped walnuts.

 

Filetto di Wellington Scomposto                                       £18.50

A deconstructed Beef Wellington; prime fillet steak, pan fried with rosemary &

thyme, then topped with homemade pate, accompanied by a separate pastry case

filled with a creamy mushroom filling.  Served with Marsala sauce & crispy Pancetta.
